Nationwide Better Health designs health education posters monthly to educate their clients on ways to live a healthy lifestyle. The posters hang in public areas at corporate offices. The healthy voices health education poster informs people how to protect their voice with several suggestions, such as eating a healthy diet, getting a good night’s sleep and drinking water instead of caffeinated beverages. It is important for the poster’s design to grab attention to get the viewer to take a closer look to learn more.
I selected a photo of a man that was thinking to go with the headline, “Listen to your voice.” I set the type next to his ears, so it appears that he is listening to the headline. I selected bright red and gold colors to draw attention to the poster. The copy for the poster was provided to me by a copy-writer. The copy-writer created acronyms for the words “Healthy Voices”. I decided to display the acronyms in a horizontal format. Each letter starts a new tip for protecting your voice. I selected images to place throughout the poster to draw more attention to the tips.
Nationwide Better Health was impressed with the unique design. They also were happy that I selected images that fit their positive, healthy brand.
