Blonder Home Accents participates in a week-long market week event at their New York showroom every three months. Buyers attend the market week event to preview the new products created by multiple companies at their showrooms. Blonder Home Accents promotes the event by sending printed invitations to buyers. They decided to feature the Ocean Outlaws, pirate-themed bath accessories.
I had a lot of fun with this design. I used the concept of searching for buried treasure. It directs the buyers to the showroom to find a treasure of home accents. I used the licensed artwork that was used to design the bath accessories on the cover. I drew a map on parchment paper that I burnt along the edges to make it look like an old map for the inside of the invitation. The map was based on the actual map for the New York showroom. The address of the New York Showroom is placed next to the X on the map. I also wrote copy for the invitation using pirate slang to fit with the concept. Argh, Matey!
Blonder Home Accents had a great turnout for the market-week event. Buyers were excited to see the new Ocean Outlaws bath accessories.
