My client requested a folded business card to hand out at conferences, networking events and business meetings. Since several cards are handed out at conferences, and the business card would be my clients only printed marketing piece, it was important for it to stand out among the hundreds or thousands of cards that one receives at a conference.
The NationBuilder logo was already designed by Brad Colbow as a cityscape in a box. The request for a folded card and the existing logo lead me to create a card that when folded would look like the outside of a box, and when opened, the city would pop out. I placed a shipping label with the client’s contact information on the front of the card. When the card was opened the city would pop out of the box with marketing information on each side of the city. Brad Colbow adjusted the cityscape illustration by adding more details to the landscape after removing the box around the city. I designed how the card would fold and drew the die line for the card, along with coming up with the concept for the card.
The business card has helped my client promote his latest web application. He has received rave reviews for the card, and it was featured on several design web sites.
