Positively Cleveland was looking to create a CLE+ Official Visitors Guide which surpassed the original look created for the award-winning 2008 Spring/Summer Official Visitors Guide. The CLE+ Official Visitors Guide is an 80-page publication that includes member listings of museums, restaurants, stores, businesses, events and more in Cleveland and surrounding areas.
Positively Cleveland decided to use a Rock ‘n Roll theme for this issue of the guide. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum would host the first Induction Ceremony in Cleveland when this issue would be available. The guide included photos of local bands from the Cleveland area. I worked on some of the designs for the divider spreads. I tried a new format for the divider pages. Positively Cleveland liked this new format so much that it was used on multiple pages throughout the guide. The creative director at Positively Cleveland and I worked to have a consistent look throughout the guide. I placed all of the listings, and designed spreads and sidebars based on the updated look. I also completed all of the production work for the guide.
Cleveland locals and visitors to Cleveland were impressed with the 2009 Spring/Summer Issue of the CLE+ Official Visitors Guide. This was the first issue to have an interactive view of the complete guide posted online at Positively Cleveland’s web site.
